Of course you do not have to make it blue, I made one in a white and black polkadot and it turned out so cute. This is my first official graded sewing pattern so make sure to do a mock up before sewing the final dress! I’m still working on getting fit as accurate as possible for as many bodies as possible so please note this before purchasing, it might not be perfect. Therefore, I changed the pattern slightly to be able to fit more bodies and to look more like the actual dress so do not worry if yours has minor differences.
